This course is designed for adults of all skill levels who are eager to explore sculptural ideas. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your techniques, you'll learn fundamental sculpting skills and techniques using predominantly clay however we may utilize plaster, found objects, steel, wood and other materials/processes that lend themselves to the goal each student has . Beginner students will learn to construct sculptural forms, and incorporate function if they wish, with traditional hand-building techniques. Experienced students will continue to develop their own work, skills and processes with assistance from the instructor. Open dialog on a variety of topics with collaborative problem solving and creative output are the core of the classes.
