We are currently accepting applications for our 1 year-long Resident Artist positions. These residencies include 24/7 studio access, materials perks, and the chance to be part of a dynamic creative community, in exchange for a regular work commitment

- 24/7 access to fully equipped studios (ceramics or 2D)
- Supportive artist community
- Opportunities to teach classes and exhibit work
- Access to kilns, wheels, tools, and shared equipment.
- Workspace and exhibition opportunities.
- Support for international artists on OPT (Optional Practical Training) for professional development in the U.S.
- Work approximately 10 hours per week in support of studio operations, community programs, or classes
- Produce original artwork during the residency
- Use studio space, materials, and tools responsibly and respectfully
- Participate in exhibitions, artist talks, open studio tours, critiques, and peer reviews
- Actively document your creative process through photos, notes, or media
- Submit a final report or presentation at the conclusion of the residency
- Optional: Teach classes or workshops (with compensation)
- Tasks are determined by the Studio Manager, but may include mixing glazes, firing kilns, maintaining kiln furniture, installing work for exhibitions, cleaning, welcoming students, teaching the "Try Clay" class for beginners and more. An important aspect of the residency program is participation in our community of teachers and students. Residents must be available to interact with other studio members and become an integral part of our community.
- MFA graduates in ceramic or 2D arts
- Emerging or mid-career artist looking to grow professionally
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and community-minded
- Comfortable working independently in a studio setting
- Interested in sharing skills through teaching or community engagement
- Open to both U.S.-based and international artists (OPT support available)

$100.00
A non-refundable application fee of $100 is required to apply for the WCAC Residency. This fee helps support the administrative and review process for all submitted applications. Payment must be made at the time of submission for your application to be considered complete.
